'Make way' for the launch of our mental health and wellbeing plans for children and young people

NHS West Cheshire and Vale Royal Clinical Commissioning Groups are working on a five-year children and young people's mental health and wellbeing transformation plan.

As part of the plan, West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group works with local partners across the NHS, public health, children’s social care, and education sectors to jointly develop and take forward local plans to transform the local offer to improve mental health and wellbeing for children and young people.

A key partner is Cheshire West and Chester Council, while a number of local services such as Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services, delivered by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, also help to make this happen.

You can read all about our transformation plan which will shape our local service provision and the local offer. A 2016/17 update can be viewed here

As part of the launch of the Children and Young People's Mental Health and Wellbeing Transformation Plan, NHS West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group hosted an 'On The Right Path' event to help publicise the positive changes that are taking place. Report available here

West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group has also been working with other CCGs in Cheshire to develop ‘Joining Up, an Eating Disorder Services plan which was co-designed with pupils from a local school in Cheshire.
