Employee of the Year 2017

NHS West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s Head of Planned Care has been awarded Employee of the Year.

Amanda Ridge, who joined the clinical commissioning group from Cheshire West and Chester Council in July 2016, received four nominations from her fellow colleagues to pip eight other shortlisted colleagues to the award.

Among the nominations was one which succinctly described her as “strong, witty, professional and smart”.

Amanda, who leads the clinical commissioning group’s largest programme team, said: “I’m extremely proud to win this award – especially as it was voted for by my peers. I’d like to thank all my colleagues for making me feel so welcome since I started working for the CCG.”

Director of Commissioning Laura Marsh said: “Amanda is a very worthy winner. She is a pleasure to work with and received nominations from a number of different teams across the organisation.”
