Bank holiday access to local health services

Need to access health and care services over the August bank holiday weekend?

If it’s not as urgent as 999, call NHS 111. NHS 111 call-handlers can offer reassurance and direct you to the most appropriate place to be seen 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

This includes the GP Out of Hours service, which is available throughout the bank holiday weekend in Chester, Ellesmere Port and Tarporley. NHS 111 call-handlers can also dispatch an ambulance if required.

To check the opening hours of other local services, such as pharmacies, visit the NHS Choices website here: http://www.nhs.uk/pages/home.aspx

More than 50 hours of GP appointments are available in West Cheshire from Friday, August 25th to Monday, August 28th along with 34 hours of nurse appointments. Extended Hours appointments are available for routine, non-urgent primary care appointments at the times and locations listed below.

Patients can call the Extended Hours service on 0300 123 7740 and choose option 3 to make a routine appointment. The telephone line is open from 8am-8pm, seven days a week.

Patients will be seen by appointment only.
