With the growing influence of Genomics in the NHS Long Term Plan it is now more important than ever that the NHS workforce are aware of Genomics and its role in patient care and treatment.
A second #GenomicsConversation week of action - starting on March 4th 2019 - will spark a conversation among health professionals and increase familiarity with the word ‘genomics’ so they feel more comfortable discussing genomic testing with their patients as well as signposting to relevant information and services.
Throughout the week there will be various free activities available, including the launch of new podcasts, online courses and educational resources. Each is be designed to raise awareness of the impact of genomics on patient care.
New to the #GenomicsConversation for 2019 is an evening panel discussion event ‘Talking Genomics with Patients’ on Tuesday, March 5th in Birmingham.
