Annual General Meeting 2019

More than 100 people attended NHS West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group’s 2019 Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Held on September 25th at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Chester, the event opened with an hour-long marketplace style exhibition which showcased key areas of the CCG's work alongside a range of health and care exhibitors.

Clinical Chair Dr Chris Ritchieson then opened the AGM, paying tribute to local GP practices and clinical commissioning group (CCG) staff before highlighting the key health and care challenges in West Cheshire.

Accountable Officer Clare Watson brought to life a number of the CCG's key achievements in 2018/19, Finance Programme Director Alex Mitchell updated about the annual accounts and Clare then returned to look ahead to the remainder of 2019/20 and beyond.

In a lively subsequent question and answer session, members of the public quizzed Dr Ritchieson and a panel of CCG executives on a range of topics including GP practice appointment systems, survey response rates and the need to ensure Cheshire-wide meetings in public remain accessible to people across the county.
