Help Us Help You
The winter months can be particularly challenging for the NHS, especially for urgent care services such as A&E departments and ambulance services.
We all want the NHS to be there to care for us and our family when we need it most, which is why we are asking people to "Help Us Help You" by doing everything you can to stay healthy and manage your own health.
- Getting the flu jab - it's free for pregnant women, over 65s, people with long-term conditions and children aged 2-9
- Calling NHS 111 if you have an urgent, but non-life-threatening medical need
- Making best use of your local pharmacy
- Ensuring you have all the medicines you need, particularly in the run-up to Christmas
